Peter began music lessons at age eight, starting with guitar at Mitch's Music School in Upland. He learned to read music and began studying harmony theory. At age ten he began learning to play alto saxophone at school under the direction of Dr. Stephen Rudd. His knowledge of chord theory helped him learn how to improvise around the chord progression. He performed with the Upland Elementary Jazz all stars as a sixth grader under William Huff of Polyhedra. He also studies violin with Chris Peck of Upland and plays the mandolin occasionally. In the summer of 2008 he attended the Youth Jazz Camp held by the Sacramento Traditional Jazz society.
Peter is currently performing in various locations around Southern California. If you are interested in hiring him as musical entertainment for a private party, please contact Michael L. Carroll via email at mcarroll_91786@yahoo.com.
