Benefit Concert for Brian on March 20, 2010 at Chaffey High School

Flier
Message from Jim Stoneman:
Dear friends and family members:

On March 20 at 2:00 p.m., the O'Shenanigans will present a concert of Irish and Celtic music. The concert will be in Hill Auditorium, located at the corner of 5th and Euclid in Ontario (about 4 blocks south of I-10, on the N.E. corner of the Chaffey High School campus). In addition to enjoying Irish music, this is a benefit for group member Brian Carlson, who has been a music minister at OLA church in Claremont for decades and is recovering from liver transplant surgery. Brian will be with us and this will be his first public performance since the surgery. Other group members include Ann Tracey, Marty Baum, Tim Kinney and Jim Stoneman. The flier for the concert is attached. Pre-sale tickets can be obtained for $7 each. Tickets will be $10 at the door. Please forward this email to anyone who may be interested.
I look forward enjoying a great time with you at the concert.

Holy Child. This is a Christmas song that Brian wrote several years ago.

Also, there are several new photos on the photo page.

Anybody need a truck? Brian has a truck he is trying to sell. Here's the link.

This website is dedicated to our dear friend Brian Carlson, who is currently suffering from a very serious illnes.
Many of us know Brian from his music ministry at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Claremont, CA. Brian started leading the contemporary music ministry while still a teenager more than 30 years ago. For all those years, his musical talents and especially his lovely Irish tenor/bariton voice have inspired the whole congregation into participating fully in the Sunday liturgy. Whenever Brian sings, you can't help but want to sing along. The music at the 11 AM mass was a source of attraction to the liturgy for many, many people.
Now Brian is ailing and in need of our help and prayers. With this web site we hope to share with you some of the joy that Brian has shared with us. You can listen to some clips of some recordings the music group made under Brian's leadership over the years.
You can also jump from here to Brian's CaringBridge site (http://www.caringbridge.com/visit/briancarlson), where you can post messages to Brian. Once you get there, select Guestbook to post messages.
This website serves as a place where we can post pictures, MP3 recordings, and video clips.

If you have any old photos of Brian, please convert them to .JPG form -- if they are not already in that form -- and send them to me, Mike Carroll, at
mcarroll_91786@yahoo.com. (There's an underscore between mcarroll and 91786.)
