This website is dedicated to our dear friend Brian Carlson, who is currently
suffering from a very serious illnes.
Many of us know Brian from his music ministry at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Claremont, CA. Brian started leading the contemporary music ministry while still a teenager more than 30 years ago. For all those years, his musical talents and especially his lovely Irish tenor/bariton voice have inspired the whole congregation into participating fully in the Sunday liturgy. Whenever Brian sings, you can't help but want to sing along. The music at the 11 AM mass was a source of attraction to the liturgy for many, many people. Now Brian is ailing and in need of our help and prayers. With this web site we hope to share with you some of the joy that Brian has shared with us. You can listen to some clips of some recordings the music group made under Brian's leadership over the years. You can also jump from here to Brian's CaringBridge site (http://www.caringbridge.com/visit/briancarlson), where you can post messages to Brian. Once you get there, select Guestbook to post messages. This website serves as a place where we can post pictures, MP3 recordings, and video clips. If you have any old photos of Brian, please convert them to .JPG form -- if they are not already in that form -- and send them to me, Mike Carroll, at mcarroll_91786@yahoo.com. (There's an underscore between mcarroll and 91786.) |
